Scope and Content

This collection contains two VHS tapes depicting a day in the life of an Air America pilot, images, and clippings. The Alex P. Goodkin Collection is housed in one half-size manuscript box totaling 0.2 linear ft.

The collection arrived in good condition and was initially processed with only a container list as description. Due to a change of the content management system, further description proved to be necessary.

Biographical Sketch

Captain Alex P. Goodkin was a fixed-wing pilot stationed in Saigon from August 18, 1965 through June 30, 1973 when he resigned from Air America. Goodkin was Head Flight Instructor for Douglas C-47 Skytrains and Curtiss C-46 Commandos in Vietnam.
