J. H. (Stormy) Mangham Collection

Abstract James Harold "Stormy" Mangham was a pioneer aviator and barnstormer born in 1907. In 1932, he purchased land in North Richland Hills, Texas to serve as a home, ranch, and private airfield. In 1954, he opened his private airfield to public use as Mangham Airport. It closed in 1986. Mangham, in addition to being a pilot, was also involved in setting motorcycle speed records. He passed away in 1974.
