Abstract

Robin David Steward Higham, a Harvard graduate, was a pilot during World War II and an instructor at the University of Massachusetts from 1954-1957, an Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina from 1957-1963, and a Professor of History at Kansas State University beginning in 1963. His career at Kansas State University spanned from 1963-1999. He wrote numerous books and articles focusing on aviation, military, and geo-political subjects.

Keith Khale (1909-1997) was an airline owner and aviation figure who founded and headed Central Airlines from 1949 until 1963 when he was fired. Khale was also active in politics for the Democratic Party in Oklahoma and Texas, campaigning and fundraising for United States Representative Jim Wright.

Paul Liscomb was born in 1916. In 1949, he joined Central Airlines as a pilot. He spent twenty-seven years with Central Airlines, through its merger with Frontier Airlines, retiring in 1976. He passed away in 2012.
