Abstract
Royal W.B. Cowan was born in 1898 in New York, NY. He arrived in Dallas, Texas to undergo United States Army Air Service Training at Love Field in 1916. He served with distinction in the First World War, earning a Silver Star for action with the 24th Aero Squadron. He founded the Southwest Printing Company, and passed away in Dallas on May 8th, 1989.

Abstract
Cripliver worked for the engineering department of the Fort Worth Division of Convair. There he wrote and edited modification instructions for the B-36 Peacemaker, SC-54, and B-58 Hustler aircraft. He later moved to the Logistics Support Division and worked on contracts and negotiations for the F-111 program.
