C. V. Glines, Jr. was an internationally renowned aviation authority and historian, and author of thirty-six books and over eight hundred periodical articles. The hallmarks of his writings are his personal experiences in the field of aviation and his personal acquaintance with the subjects or those close to the subjects of his writings, all interwoven with extensive research. An "Honorary Doolittle Raider," Glines was the official historian for the Doolittle Tokyo Raiders.

The Gorrell History of the American Expeditionary Forces Air Service, 1917-1918 was compiled by Colonel Edgar S. Gorrell, Assistant Chief of Staff of The United States Army Air Service. It was intended as an in-depth analysis of the performance and operations of American military aviation in World War I, as well as offer lessons for future planning to the United States Army General Staff. It was issued in 1919.

Jonathan Denton Ledford was both an actor and U.S. Naval Aviation blimp commander with a passion for lighter-than-air airships. This collection includes materials Ledford collected during his time with the U.S. Navy, such as documents related to his time in flight school, personal correspondence and history, flight log book, clippings related to lighter-than-air airships, World War II, photographs of dirigibles, naval ships, and entertainers.

Burrell Tibbs Papers
Burrell Tibbs is well known for his contributions to the early aviation period in the United States. Having been an apprentice to Benoist and working with Lester Miller on building an airplane, Tibbs was also a barnstormer and a pilot instructor in Oklahoma before and during World War II. He worked at the Boeing plant in Wichita, Kansas and celebrated the 50th anniversary of powered flight by flying a World War I Jenny from Bloomington, Illinois to Grand Prairie, Texas in seven days.
