J. H. (Stormy) Mangham Collection
James Harold "Stormy" Mangham was a pioneer aviator and barnstormer born in 1907. In 1932, he purchased land in North Richland Hills, Texas to serve as a home, ranch, and private airfield. In 1954, he opened his private airfield to public use as Mangham Airport, which closed in 1986. Mangham, in addition to being a pilot, was also involved in setting motorcycle speed records. He passed away in 1974.

Al Mooney is famous for his aeronautical designs of the Mooney Mite and other aircraft he manufactured in his Mooney Aircraft Corporation at Kerrville, Texas. The collection contains archival material collected by him, both personal papers and materials assembled during his career in the fields of civil and military aviation.
Welman A. Shrader Papers
Welman A. Shrader was both an aviation journalist, an aviation photographer, and a pilot. He was the Director of Publications for the Institute of Aeronautical Sciences, the predecessor of The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, (AIAA). Shrader wrote several books and/or provided images from his private collection.
