Military helicopters

This collection contains materials related to aircraft built in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

The Civil Air Transport (CAT) and Air America, Inc. Small Collections is comprised of collections of material that are too small to warrant individual arrangement. It is an artificial collection, which are identified by the collection subject’s name.

Douglas Stanley Dexter was employed with Air America from July 7, 1972 until his separation from the company on June 30, 1974 as a captain flying rotary wing aircraft in Saigon.

Brian Keigh Johnson was an Assistant Chief Pilot, rotor wing, for Air America in Saigon from March 3, 1966 through October 1, 1974, when he resigned from the company.

Milton Duane Keele was a Captain for rotor wing aircraft for Air America in Udorn, Thailand from May 29, 1968 through December 31, 1973, when he separated from the company.

Dr. William M. Leary taught at the University of Georgia focusing on a variety topics of aviation related events. This main subject was the study of aviation in China and the Far East, cumulated in documenting the history of China National Aviation Corporation (CNAC), Civil Air Transport (CAT) and Air America, and their connections to the United States intelligence establishment.

Contains material that relates to E. D. Rudolfs’ duties as a mechanic and helicopter pilot for Air America. It includes manuals, flight, data, and messages.
